I’m still catching up, and I am so excited to introduce you all to Jillian and Eric. When I met them in Springfield, at Sequiota Park in Springfield, MO to shoot their engagement session, they both seemed so shy and quiet. Well, maybe reserved is a better descriptor for what they appeared to be. Ladies and Gentlemen, I was wrong. These two have personalities that are HUGE! Their energy level is insane and their love of one another is obvious. I honestly had no idea how much fun was in store for their wedding day.
One of the great things about photographing weddings in the Springfield area is working with Stephanie Weiss, of Ella Weiss Wedding Design. She is one of my favorite wedding planners on the planet. If you’re in the area, I’d recommend looking into Ella Weiss Wedding Design for gowns and all your needs.
So let’s get to Jillian and Eric… their taste and style are on point. They are not afraid of the camera. They are open and loving. They welcomed me into their day with unfiltered access to their lives. In short, they are a dream couple who values great photos and know that being themselves allows me to put together a complete story of their wedding day.
The reception was jumping from start to finish. Guests were greeted with a cocktail hour outside the main ballroom, and entertained with live music while they mingled about. Once inside, the decorations … from table settings, impressive cake, amazing lighting to the huge dance floor… made this a spectacular event to be part of.
Earlier I mentioned the energy level and the reception is where their energy level was unleashed. Members Only, an 80s tribute band was on stage and kept the entire group jumping. Favorite song of the night???? When they sang “Centerfold”, by the J. Geils Band, and Jillian joined them on stage. Absolutely killed it.
Enjoy a few of their photos!
